Missionary Letter Writing

The 1st Sunday of every month is a special time at Freedom Baptist Church. A time for us to minister in a special way to our missionaries. We get together for a pot-luck lunch and then write a personal letter to each of our missionaries. Bring a dish and join us for this special time of ministry.

Needlecraft Fellowship

Several ladies of Freedom Baptist Church meet weekly on Thursday mornings at 10:00 at the Church for the purpose of making quilts and other things. This is a sweet time of fellowship during which they seek to minister to others through their crafts.

Union Mission Service

The 1st Thursday of each month at 6:45 PM.

Sentara Nursing Village

Members of Freedom Baptist Church hold a worship service at Sentara Nursing Village once a month. This is usually held the last Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM. If you would like to be a part of this important ministry, please contact Pastor Bill Wegner.

Seniors Retreat at The Wilds

The Senior Adult Conference at The Wilds is October 19-22. The speaker this year is Dr. Wendell Heller. The conference is filling up fast so get your registration in to Pastor Steinman as soon as possible. See Pastor Steinman if you need a registration form.

Awana Clubs Begin!
September 8

All children from the age of 3 through the 6th Grade are invited to participate in Awana Clubs from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Join us for an ice cream fellowship at the end of Opening Night! Come and enjoy a super fun game time, small group Bible memory time, and special lessons from the Bible. The FBC Puppet Team will be coming on September 22nd!

Wed Night Youth Group
Begins September 8 --
All 7th through 12th Grade Young People are invited to a time of Bible Study, Prayer, Fun, and Fellowship from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
Bible Studies for Men and Women
Disciplines of a Godly Man

FBC Men are working through Disciplines of a Godly Man by R. Kent Hughes. The next meeting will be held on September 11. The regular day for meeting will be the second Saturday of each month at 8 AM. Please check the Calendar for any possible changes.
Ladies Prayer Coffee

Ebba Cothron is leading the ladies through a study on the book of Esther during the Ladies Prayer Coffee. The next coffee is September 18. The regular day for meeting will alternate between the third and fourth Saturdays of the month at 9 AM. See the Calendar for specifics.
